Pray Without Ceasing – Cos’ We Don’t Know…
Seven months ago, I lost my mom. She was 87. For years, I would pray for her to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. I don’t know if she ever accepted Him before her death, but I would like to believe that she did.
And then several days ago, Mandy Kelly and most of her family died in a fire. Mandy was a Christian blogger who always kept it real and had a strong sense of priorities. She was a prayer warrior for the Lord, and right now she is rejoicing with Him in heaven. Oh, she had wanted SO desperately to win souls for the Kingdom!
May we have the same heart for God that Mandy did. I would like to think that one of her favorite verses was in 1 Thess. 5:17 –
pray without ceasing….”
It is SO essential, perhaps now more than ever, to win souls for the Kingdom! And that we intercede in prayer for what is going on in the world. Mandy Kelly did.
What about you? Do you intercede every day for your nation? For your city? Or for even your pastor and members of your church? It’s never too late to make a change, and you can start today!
As a matter of fact, let’s pray right now:
Heavenly Father, I pray for Your people. May they have a heart for You and for the things of Your Holy Kingdom.
Father, I pray that we would have a heart and a burden to intercede for the world. And to remember to pray for others.
In Jesus’ name, I pray…
So my mom is already gone seven months. With God’s help, I’ve gotten through it. But today, let’s make sure we lift Mandy’s family in prayer.
