Whom Do You Judge Today?
Who do you judge? According to Matthew 7:1:
judge not others, lest ye be judged”……
In other words, we shouldn’t be judging anybody! And heaven knows we should not go judging all those in the media!
We ain’t supposed to be anybody’s judge – that’s God’s job! Our mission is, as it says in Matthew 28:19-20:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
And if you are judging anybody on TV, that’s already wrong to begin with! I’ll give you a great example:
I was watching the OJ Simpson Parole Hearing today, where they were going to decide whether to release him or not. Eventually, they decided to grant him parole as of October 1.
I was having trouble with that one. Because of what had previously happened with Mr. Simpson, I had a bit of a “prejudice” towards this verdict.
At that point, it was almost like the Lord put Matthew 7:1 into my spirit. He was SO right!
The one thing we are NOT supposed to do is go around and express our judgements on everybody and their mother. As Christians, we can pray for people, situations, etc. But whatever else we do, don’t go around and be sayin things like:
oh this one’s such a jerk….this one shoulda not done this…i’m not happy with this decision….”
You know what? MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS! Cos’ you ain’t their judge – ONLY GOD IS, and He will judge EACH of us on Judgement Day – so get over yourself and go on about our Father’s Business – AMEN?? AMEN!
