Praise God ALL The Time!
let everything that has breath praise the Lord – praise ye the Lord! – Psalm 150:6″
And that is NOT just praising the Lord in church! We need to be living a praising lifestyle!
I don’t know about you, but I have a LOT to be praising Him for – here are five things worthy of praise:
- That Jesus is my Lord and Savior
- I have a roof over my head
- Food and clothes are definitely in my closets, pantry, and refrigerator (well, the clothes aren’t in the pantry or refrigerator)
- He healed me from vertigo TWO months ago!
- And that He’s improving my heart and allergies every single day!
We can’t be going around with a frown on our face, but we must have joy in our heart. Our God loves us SO much that He sent His Son Jesus to die on the Cross for us! So that we may have eternal life!
Rejoice also in this – if we have truly accepted Him as our Lord and Savior, we are going to heaven! Isn’t that something that is praiseworthy? I think so…
Sometimes when I cook and clean, I sing songs to God, or I make up my own. (Still learning to be constant about that). God inhabits the praises of His people!
I’ve heard it said that when the praises go up, the blessings come down! Also, did you guys know that praising God is a form of spiritual warfare? The enemy don’t like our praises!
I have a disability, so I praise God for helping me do every little thing that I do! He blesses me with seats on the train at rush hour (and an air conditioned train to boot)! He helps me get things done in my home (‘course I’m asking Him to help me do it – God is supposed to be in EVERY aspect of our lives!)!
But one of the BEST things that I give God praise for is just functioning and living. I was born autistic, with a learning disability, and living in an abusive household. Yet here I am, in a one-bedroom apartment, sitting at my desk and typing on a computer – HALLELUJAH!
