Sunday Morning – How I Start It Every Week
How do I start my Sunday morning? Or how would I like to start it? The above image provides a clue… 😀
These days, the first thing I do is to drink a glass of water and take my supplements. My goal is to start it by praying, and then to take my supplements. Prayer gives me a such a peace and focus that I SO desperately need!
Anyway, I sit down and take ALL my supplements with a big glass of water. (I used to gulp it all down and go immediately over to my computer – but I found that acid reflex was making too many appearances in the morning – so now I take my time – what a difference!).
THEN I check my blood pressure and heart rate. Since my night in the ER last year, monitoring it has become an important part of my morning routine. Afterwards, I make breakfast, which sometimes does involve coffee (with milk and stevia – I love that stuff) and a slice of bread and cream cheese. Most mornings consist of oats with milk (or water) and fruit. My body appreciates these kinds of breakfasts!
Afterwards, I go over and work on the computer. The purpose here is two-fold – one, the obvious computer and blogging stuff. The second purpose is even more important – it gives my food a chance to go down, thus avoiding the dreaded acid reflex.
By this time, my breakfast will have digested. I go rest in my bed for a little while before I get dressed. Since I had already laid out my clothes and bag the night before, there’s no last-minute frenzy to decide what I’m going to wear or to get my bag together – it’s already done!
And FINALLY I will go to church! (I usually leave about 8:15 in the morning or a few minutes before)
That’s my Sunday morning (including the getting to church part) – what are your Sundays like? Share your ideas with me in the comments below, and remember….
GOD IS IN ALL, AND HE IS ALL!
